A San Diego dentist and dental hygienist founded Malava Beverages in 2006. The inspiration for this idea happened while they were scuba diving in Fiji and introduced to the local culture of Kava. They loved the feeling they got after drinking Kava so much that they brought some home for daily use. They mixed up their own concoctions in their kitchen for personal use till they came up with the perfect taste for themselves.

After drinking it for years, they decided to introduce it to their dental patients as a great way to help relieve stress. Their patients were so pleased that they strongly encouraged the Schneiders to pursue the avenue of creating a relaxation beverage. They soon hooked up with Ray Maher an ex Snapple executive and created Malava Relax. It was so successful and popular that in a short time the requests for a stronger version promoted the development of NOVOCAINE.

The Schneiders are the developers of the 'Relaxation' category of beverages. Their vision was to bring out a drink that everyone could enjoy. They also wanted a drink that would reduce stress and anxiety while increasing focus and concentration. A drink that would not make one sleepy.

Malava believes that beverages should be healthy and natural without affecting the purpose or taste of the drink. Malava also has future plans for many more functional beverages (plans soon to be announced).

Since they started Malava Beverages, the Schneiders have been interviewed and featured on TV as well as in Entrepreneur Magazine. Their drinks have been in hundreds of publications worldwide and enjoyed by millions of people including celebrities, professional athletes, politicians and of course wall street.
